If you are thinking of hiring a life coach, chances are there are hundreds of questions going through your head, as you try to decide if a coach is right for you. Journey Healers has compiled some of our most frequently asked questions. If you have a question that is not on this page, please do not hesitate to contact us!
What is a life coach? A life coach is like a cheer leader- made especially for you. A coach will provide you with an honest sounding board and help guide you in the right direction. A coach can help you to find your passions, and hidden talents, reach your goals and much more. Coaching is a future-focused conversation that enables you to take the steps you need to create a life that you love.
How do I know if I'm ready for a coach? If you've come to a place in your life that you are not happy with, and you are really (and I mean really) wanting and willing to make a change, then you are ready for a coach.
It seems like everybody's a life coach these days....how do I know which one is right for me? You're right. In the past decade, life coaches have been popping out of the wood work, ready to help who ever crosses their path. The best way to find a life coach is to shop around. Set up free consultations with a few different life coaches that sound like they might be good for you. During your free consultation, ask questions, and be honest. Both you and your coach will be able to decide whether you are a good match or not.
Should I get a life coach that's certified? Currently, there are no government laws stating that a life coach needs to be certified in order to practice coaching. However, a certified life coach has been through the schooling to help aide you in your life. At Journey Healers, we have been certified through the Certified Coaches Federation, based in Ontario, Canada.
How much time do I need to spend with my coach? How long do I need to work with a coach? All of Journey Healers programs are designed with your time in mind. One session lasts for one hour. Some find it beneficial to have a session once a month, while others need one more often (typically weekly or bi-weekly) The amount of time you want to spend with your coach will determine what changes you make in your life and how quickly you make those changes.
I would love to work with one of your coaches, but I live too far away. Not a problem! Coaching can be done over the phone, or in person. Please state at the time of your appointment booking whether you would like to speak over the phone or in person.
How do I pay my coach? Coaching payments can be made online through email money transfer, by certified check, money order or cash. Receipts will be given at time of payment.
